Concert on the Square

We recently started the tradition of attending Concert on the Square every Wednesday and in just a few weeks it's turned out to be one of our favorite weekly events and the Grateful Dead like following is slowly amassing. It's something we look forward to every week at 100state and we want to open it up to other great people like yourself to create a community of some of Madison's best and brightest minds gathering.
Last week we had a great turnout of 25+ people at the 100state Concert on the Square party filled with food, drinks, laughs and fun! Our "weekly spot" is across the street from Brocach and Subway - we lay our blankets early (the rules allow blanket laying anytime after 3pm), start to gather at 6:15pm and music starts at 7. Above is a picture of our huge tarp we lay out and encourage you to lay your blankets nearby to hang out with us! Check out our Facebook page for more pictures of the 100state COTS fun!
We would love to see you there and please feel free to bring friends, entrepreneurs, freelancers and cool people to co-locate with us!

Holy cow! 43 members in just a few weeks! We're growing strong and want you to be involved!

We are excited to announce we are up to 43 members!

We have only been open five weeks and are thrilled not just about the sheer number of people that have joined but even more so about the quality of people we have attracted so far. So thank you! Keep spreading the word and let's attract the brightest and best Madison has to offer.

Want to get more involved at 100state? Here's how:

Want to know what's going on? Check out the community calendar on our website and if you have an event you want to post, please email us.

What can we do to improve Madison? Should we be doing tutoring for at-risk kids? Doing a neighborhood cleanup project? We are looking for a 100state volunteer to lead a community project ideally in August or September. If you have an idea or would like to lead the project please email.

As always, we're welcoming others to join our community. Find the level that's right for you on our website.

Madison's HomeGrown Talent gets Shout-Out in London

(image: Rob Tierney ©)
Urban Times, a London based magazine, wrote this great article proclaiming Madison as "one of the best cities in America" for its local loyalty and community participation.

The article highlights the 100state-supported project Make Music Madison, as well as several other great local initiatives.

Check it out- it's a great reminder of how lucky we are to be Madisonians :)
